About the role#
This summer 2027 internship offers an opportunity to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. You will support new product development and create customer-valued solutions within the Savory category, including sauces and dressings. This role is full-time and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Develop and prepare food formulations and prototypes on a lab bench top scale using Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Conduct searches on current technology and competitive activity.
- Run analytical testing on prototypes and interpret the results.
- Coordinate, summarize, and report data from your experiments.
- Lead team tastings to gather feedback and determine next steps.
- Document findings and prepare technical reports.
- Present your final results, conclusions, and recommendations to management.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of coursework, with status as a sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior.
- Previous laboratory research experience.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in a laboratory environment.
- Reliable transportation to the facility.
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
- Knowledge of common food processes, ingredient functionality, and ingredient interactions is preferred.
