About the role#
International Justice Mission is seeking Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, & Learning (MERL) interns and fellows to support field office leadership. You will assist in the design, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, with specific tasks depending on the project life cycle in your assigned office. This is a full-time, paid, hybrid position based in the District of Columbia. The program runs for 12 months, starting in June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate the program design team, including organizing workshops and meetings.
- Participate in the design process by conducting research and defining program scope.
- Oversee proposal drafting and submission to meet deadlines.
- Develop and revise data monitoring systems for project indicators.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, and communication of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Manage and revise the Monitoring & Evaluation Plan to identify trends and lessons learned.
- Prepare monitoring data for internal quarterly program reviews.
What you'll need#
- For internships: A Bachelor's degree and at least one prior professional internship or significant leadership experience.
- For fellowships: A Master's degree in international development, evaluation, research, or a related field, plus three or more years of project design and evaluation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software and Windows is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is required for positions in Latin America offices.
- Candidates should possess a mature orthodox Christian faith.

- Terms available: Summer 2027, Fall 2027, Winter 2028, and Spring 2028.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
