About the role#
As an Oil Movements Engineering Co-op Student, you will gain hands-on experience supporting refinery operations. You will work alongside professionals in the Wastewater Treatment Unit, tank field, and flare area. This role involves a mix of field and office work to support the safe and reliable operation of refinery systems.
What you'll do#
- Conduct routine monitoring and inspections of the Wastewater Treatment Unit, tank field, and flare area.
- Support environmental compliance activities, including water quality testing and bioassays.
- Collect, analyze, and track operational data to support process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain accurate operational and environmental records.
- Collaborate with OM and PLA operations teams.
- Participate in field and office-based projects while following all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Chemical Engineering, completing your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and an interest in interpreting data to identify trends.
- Proficiency with MS Office, with experience in Excel preferred.
- Willingness to perform field work in an industrial setting.
- A valid Canadian driver’s license.
