About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to transportation and logistics management. You will work under supervision to support customers and gain practical experience in the daily operations of the business. The role is based in Monroe, Louisiana, for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Assist customers with transportation and logistics services.
- Participate in daily operational tasks, including freight planning, asset utilization, and safety management.
- Help with Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and driver payroll.
- Engage in logistics analysis, driver supervision, and maintenance coordination.
- Gain insight into industry trends and initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Manage profit-and-loss responsibilities and account-specific duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work hours.
- Junior or Senior status is preferred.
