About the role#
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is hiring for a Summer 2027 Operations Internship in Joliet, Illinois. This is a paid, part-time position. Please note that this role is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
What you'll do#
Interns support our transportation and logistics services. You will work on daily operational tasks, including freight planning and asset utilization. Your responsibilities include:
- Assisting with transportation and logistics services for customers.
- Supporting safety management and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
- Coordinating maintenance and monitoring driver payroll.
- Performing account-specific duties as required by customers.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing. Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in the workplace.
