About the role#
As a Production Intern at Janicki, you will work within our aviation and aerospace manufacturing teams. You will apply engineering principles to solve technical problems and manage small projects from initial design through to assembly and commissioning. This is a full-time, paid position that operates on a rolling basis. You will work on-site at our facilities in Sedro Woolley, Hamilton, or Bellingham, Washington.

- Apply engineering knowledge to solve complex technical challenges.
- Manage small projects through design, engineering, manufacturing, and commissioning.
- Perform practical tasks in a production and manufacturing setting.
- Complete assignments provided by your assigned mentor.
- Work independently and maintain excellent organizational habits.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and take initiative on new ideas.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited engineering degree program, specifically in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
- Sophomore or junior standing is preferred.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident.
- Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team including technicians, machinists, and engineers.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
