About the role#
The Quality & Process Engineering team supports our manufacturing operations. As an intern, you will work directly with production teams to improve efficiency, manage quality standards, and support new product introductions. This role requires on-site work in Elgin, Illinois, during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Resolve daily production quality issues and identify corrective actions.
- Manage build procedures through documentation updates.
- Support product stop ship meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, scrap reduction, and site-wide quality improvements.
- Present project status updates to senior management.
- Coordinate with teams across purchasing, planning, and capacity management.
- Maintain product ownership to drive operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Graduation date no later than December 2029.
- Ability to read and interpret design documents and product specifications.
- Experience or understanding of advanced problem-solving methods like DOE and statistical analysis.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely (sponsorship is not available).
