About the role#
The Executive Director of Student to Student (STS) leads the initiative by setting strategy and overseeing daily operations. You will ensure educational excellence while scaling the program across the Federation network. As the public face of the initiative, you will partner with an advisory community to advance program objectives and expand into new communities.
What you'll do#
- Set and lead the strategy and plans for STS, including a 3-5 year growth plan.
- Supervise the professional team to ensure rigorous and excellent program implementation.
- Communicate the impact of STS across the Federation system and the broader Jewish community.
- Oversee the creation of curriculum and training materials.
- Provide support to new and existing communities by establishing best practices and updating instructional methods.
- Conduct research to validate program success and lead marketing efforts.
- Represent the initiative to current and prospective funders.
- Speak and teach about STS methodologies in various settings.
- Build relationships with school leadership and faith organizations to promote interfaith work.
- Collect and analyze data to ensure high standards of program delivery.
What you'll need#
- An advanced degree in a relevant field such as education, interfaith studies, religious studies, or community development.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives.
- Experience with interfaith work or community engagement.
- Experience supervising a team of in-person and remote employees.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- A deep understanding of Jewish faith, traditions, and cultural practices.
- The ability to teach and speak in Jewish and other houses of worship.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic planning, and program management.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is based on-site in New York or Washington, DC (New York is preferred).
- The position operates on a rolling basis.
