About the role#
This is a 180-day transitional training experience for Department of Defense SkillBridge participants. You will gain exposure to safety, construction operations, and field coordination through a combination of classroom instruction, support center rotations, and active jobsite assignments. The program builds the technical skills and documentation discipline required for a career in construction.
What you'll do#
- Complete onboarding and safety readiness activities, including OSHA 30 certification.
- Shadow Operations Support Center personnel across various project verticals.
- Complete the Academy curriculum to learn construction technology and operations.
- Support day-to-day General Contractor oversight activities on active multifamily projects.
- Lead a small-scale project component as a capstone assignment to demonstrate your understanding of safety, planning, and execution.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active-duty service member approved for the SkillBridge program.
- An interest in construction management or field operations.
- Ability to comply with all jobsite safety requirements and wear necessary protective equipment.
- Capacity to learn digital construction tools and perform site documentation tasks.
- Ability to work in both office settings and active construction sites, including walking on uneven terrain and working outdoors.
