About the role#
As a Construction Operations Intern, you will gain experience working alongside our Construction Operations team. This role provides a look at how construction standards, processes, and systems are developed, maintained, and improved. You will work primarily in the office but will also gain exposure to project workflows and construction execution through site visits. This position is a paid, full-time, rolling internship.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with a Project Manager to understand day-to-day responsibilities.
- Visit construction sites to track project progress and see how plans become reality.
- Support the team with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and file management.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Assist with project setup in Procore, including team assignments and document tracking.
- Conduct analytical and reporting tasks to assist in process audits and project health reviews.
- Learn and contribute within software platforms such as Procore and Sage.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related major.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask while remaining detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently and with a team of professionals.
- Positive attitude and relentless problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate needs and understand the difference between causation and correlation.
- Experience with marketing, public speaking, and presentations is a plus.
