About the role#
As a Field Construction Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by participating in daily construction activities and site operations. This role provides an in-depth look at the full lifecycle of multifamily construction projects, from initial planning to final inspection. You will work alongside industry professionals to assist in project execution and ensure site tasks are completed effectively.
What you'll do#
- Participate in day-to-day construction activities and site operations.
- Assist with site-specific tasks, including the creation and completion of punch lists.
- Maintain site cleanliness and an organized construction office.
- Promote job-site safety and address hazards immediately.
- Support the project team to ensure work remains on schedule and within budget.
- Build positive relationships with the project team, subcontractors, suppliers, and municipal representatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across different projects.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate project needs and take initiative.
