    About the role#

    The Communications Intern will report to the Communications Director for a six-month duration during the fall and winter. This is a paid, full-time internship designed to provide professional experience in public relations and social media within the cybersecurity industry. You will work remotely, with an option for a hybrid schedule if you are based in the Chicago, Illinois area.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the Communications and Social Media teams with daily tasks and ongoing projects.
    • Create content for social media channels.
    • Assist with the planning and execution of company announcements.
    • Draft materials for public relations and internal communications, such as employee memos and press releases.
    • Handle administrative duties, including updating the company media page, scheduling social media content, and reporting performance data.

    What you'll need#

    • A strong desire to learn and a professional drive to succeed.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and a personable, dependable demeanor.
    • Familiarity with drafting internal or external communications content.
    • Basic working knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office products.
    • Current enrollment in a related bachelor or master degree program is preferred.
