About the role#
The Agronomist Intern supports our team in servicing crop protection products, seed, and plant food for local producers. You will help build customer relationships while gaining hands-on experience in the field. This is a paid, full-time position based in Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Scout fields to identify pests, nutrient deficiencies, and general crop health.
- Collect soil and plant tissue samples for analysis.
- Prepare and submit scouting reports for review by a sales agronomist.
- Communicate field summaries and conditions directly to growers.
- Help with marketing activities, field days, and grower events.
- Install and maintain signage at field sites.
- Assist with loading and unloading inventory, including seed, chemicals, fertilizer, and feed.
- Help maintain company facilities and equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year college or university program related to Agriculture.
- At least one year of related experience or training.
- A valid Driver's License.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and company policies.
