About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship running from May through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in agricultural research by working through several learning modules, including planting, data collection, plot identification, and production agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Organize seed, plant plots, clean meter units, and handle flagging or staking.
- Collect, report, and analyze stand count data to compare fungicide, insecticide, and other agronomic treatments.
- Design and map test plots, then install signs and stakes for proper identification.
- Support sales staff and ride along with the Location Lead on customer calls.
- Evaluate hybrid performance and diagnose agronomic issues in the field.
- Thin plots to meet desired population targets.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate course work in an agriculture-related field.
- A valid driver license and an insurable driving record.
- You may be required to obtain a Chauffer license or equivalent.
- A farm background and general farm knowledge are helpful.
- All offers are contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
