About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship running from May through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple research modules, including planting, data collection, plot identification, and production agriculture. The position is on-site in Henderson, Kentucky, and includes furnished housing or a stipend.
What you'll do#
- Setup and plant various research studies, including organizing seed, cleaning meter units, and flagging plots.
- Collect, report, and analyze stand count data to compare fungicide and insecticide treatments.
- Thin plots to reach desired populations.
- Map and design test plots, and identify varieties by installing signs and stakes.
- Provide agronomic support to the sales staff.
- Ride along with the PFR Location Lead on customer calls to evaluate product performance and diagnose agronomic issues.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate course work in an agriculture-related field.
- A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to obtain a Chauffer license or equivalent if required.
- A farm background and general farm knowledge are helpful.
