About the role#
As a member of the IT Services team, you will provide support to employees to ensure they use their computers, software, and network effectively. This is a full-time, 12-month internship position starting in January 2027. You will work on-site at our Ottawa office five days a week.
What you'll do#
- Provide responsive support to end-users via telephone, in person, and online.
- Manage a queue of tickets and ensure proper escalation for unresolved issues.
- Install and configure hardware and software for users and IT infrastructure.
- Assist with setting up and testing workstations.
- Create user accounts and manage access control based on company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets.
- Assist in testing systems developed in-house and hosted in the cloud.
- Provide guidance on IT service best practices.
- Interact with third-party providers regarding hardware warranties.
What you'll need#
- A college diploma in a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and OS issues for macOS, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
- Proficiency with Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and BitLocker.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Familiarity with ticket handling software and end-point management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivation and the ability to adapt to changing environments.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (12-month duration).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19.46 - $28.55 per hour.
