About the role#
La Plata Electric Association is looking for a fall intern to assist with brand system implementation and web development. You will work alongside our Marketing Specialist and Creative Services & Brand Specialist to ensure visual consistency across our organization. This position is a paid, temporary role based in Durango, Colorado.
What you'll do#
- Apply our visual identity across templates, one-pagers, and social media assets.
- Create accessible design pieces for use by various departments.
- Develop an updated brand guideline document.
- Audit existing company materials against new guidelines and report your findings.
- Build web pages in WordPress, including landing pages, staff bios, and graphics.
- Dedicate at least 15 hours per week to your assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year college or university program.
- Studies in graphic design, marketing, communications, or art.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and InDesign.
- Experience with web design platforms, with a preference for WordPress.
- Familiarity with graphic design, AI tools, and design processes.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Durango, Colorado.
- The term runs for the Fall 2026 semester, typically from August through December.
