About the role#
The Online Student Experience Coordinator implements and enhances student success and retention initiatives for online learning. You will work across departments to support students and ensure they have the resources needed to reach graduation. This position is on-site in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Manage on-boarding protocols for first-year online students.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for student questions and inquiries.
- Collaborate with Enrollment, Advising, and eLearning teams to develop retention strategies.
- Assist students with registration and provide ongoing academic advising.
- Identify and support at-risk students through early alert processes.
- Facilitate College 101 sessions and maintain the online course shell.
- Provide career development guidance, including resume reviews and interview preparation.
- Assess and document student compliance with eLearning policies.
- Participate in orientation programs, workshops, and college-wide events.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of three years of experience in online coursework, advising, or student support.
- Proficiency with software and various Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse student body.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Professionalism and a commitment to the college mission.
- Coursework in instructional technology, education, or higher education leadership is preferred.
- Teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas LMS are preferred.
