About the role#
We are looking for a Software Development Co-op to join the Later Influence engineering team. You will work alongside experienced developers to build software that powers influencer marketing for global brands. This role involves contributing to production code, participating in the full software development lifecycle, and gaining hands-on experience with modern engineering practices. You will be supported by mentors while taking ownership of tasks that deliver value to our customers.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to production features across our backend and frontend applications.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and designers to deliver customer value.
- Write clean, maintainable, tested, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews to learn engineering best practices.
- Debug issues and help improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
- Take part in planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
What you'll need#
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, or Go.
- A strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development.
- Some exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A desire to learn and a growth mindset.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $4,000 per month.
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position.
