About the role#
Latham & Watkins is looking for students to join the Associate Recruiting Department. You will help with the strategic planning, implementation, and direction of firm-wide law school and associate hiring programs. This role offers exposure to projects involving budget management, staffing, evaluation, and the organization of interview programs. You will gain a broad understanding of lawyer and staff positions within the legal industry.
What you'll do#
- Prepare lawyers for virtual interviews and career fairs.
- Review applicant resumes and transcripts.
- Assist with arrangements for virtual candidate interviews.
- Handle projects related to recruiting events and program organization.
- Protect and maintain sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student.
- Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all organizational levels.
- A customer service orientation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Location & details#
- Location: Redwood City, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (December 14, 2026 to February 26, 2027).
- Modality: Remote and on-site options available.
- Employment type: Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week).
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
