About the role#
As an Automation Test Engineer Intern, you will support the development, integration, and automation of test solutions for advanced electronic and RF systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop automated test capabilities, interface with lab instrumentation, analyze test data, and troubleshoot real-world engineering problems. This is a full-time role for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and execution of automated engineering test solutions.
- Develop and modify test scripts using Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming environments.
- Interface with lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and power meters.
- Assist with hardware and software integration, product bring-up, troubleshooting, and verification.
- Help develop and maintain test procedures, test fixtures, and automated test equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize test data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance issues.
- Document test configurations, procedures, results, and findings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Test, RF, Digital/FPGA, Embedded Software, and Manufacturing engineers.
- Conduct design analysis, calculations, and limited scope testing under the supervision of senior staff.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
- A basic understanding of electronic circuits, digital systems, embedded systems, RF systems, or engineering test and measurement.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a professional network.
- A diligent and hardworking approach to tasks.
