About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with the Radio Frequency engineering team at Leonardo DRS. You will gain exposure to engineering methods, programs, and daily practices while supporting our defense and intelligence projects. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Frederick, Maryland, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist RF engineers with various assignments and design details.
- Carry out basic work instructions to learn company fundamentals.
- Conduct limited scope testing and design analysis under supervision.
- Gather and assemble data for engineering projects.
- Perform research in specific technical fields.
- Complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Support and communicate the mission and values of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering program.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completed coursework in Circuits, Physics, Chemistry, or Electromagnetics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a professional network.
- A diligent, hardworking approach and a quick ability to learn.
