About the role#
The Student Leader Apprentice (SLA) program is a two-week leadership development opportunity for high school students. This program provides a behind-the-scenes look at camp ministry and helps participants prepare for future staff roles. This is an unpaid program held during Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
During the first week, you will take part in leadership experiences. This includes completing a personality and leadership assessment, attending Bible study, and participating in worship and prayer. In the second week, you will shadow a FUGE Camps staffer. You will assist with the overall camp program and gain hands-on experience in various roles within the ministry setting.
What you'll need#
You must be a rising or graduating high school senior. You are required to submit three references from specific categories: a youth leader or pastor, a teacher or spiritual mentor, and an adult who has known you for several years. Majors such as Psychology, Sociology, Communications, and Human Resources are relevant to the program focus.
Location & details#
This program takes place on-site in Nashville, Tennessee. Please note that transportation to and from the program is your responsibility. Participants are responsible for program costs, which cover meals, lodging, and materials.
