About the role#
This co-op position supports the Communications Integrated Product Team for the River Class Destroyer program. You will join a multi-disciplined team to assist with system design and engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on system design activities and support technical reviews with senior engineering staff.
- Perform requirements analysis, allocation, and trade studies.
- Conduct system modelling and design, including Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Assist with system architecture, design, and integration planning.
- Create and maintain design documentation.
- Manage team tasks and information using Jira and Confluence.
- Follow established systems engineering processes.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in System, Computer, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Experience with Agile methods, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with communications systems through coursework or previous experience.
- You must be eligible for a NATO Secret clearance.
- High initiative, autonomy, and a strong ability to learn.

- Locations: Montreal, QC; Dartmouth, NS; or Ottawa, ON.
- Term: Four months starting January 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
