About the role#
Lockton is hiring Financial Analyst Interns for a 10-week summer program in St. Louis. You will join our financial team and work alongside associates to support client services and solutions. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to build your business acumen and technical skills through direct project work and a comprehensive training program. You will be paired with a mentor to help manage your daily workload and receive coaching throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support your team with an active book of business for a variety of clients.
- Assist with benefits renewal analysis and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Prepare monthly client financial reports and benchmarking exhibits.
- Learn the fundamentals of employee benefits consulting, including contracts, communication materials, and cost sharing strategies.
- Present to a client during at least one meeting.
- Participate in volunteer events and networking opportunities with clients and carrier partners.
What you'll need#
- You are a currently enrolled student who has completed your junior year.
- You plan to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028.
- We prefer majors in actuarial science, but we also welcome students studying statistics, economics, business, or other analytical fields.
- You have the legal right to work in the United States.
- You possess strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- You can multitask and prioritize your work effectively.
- You have computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet expertise, with a preference for Excel and PowerPoint.
- You are comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Completion of actuarial exams is a plus but is not required.

- Compensation: $20 per hour.
