About the role#
This Student FWS position supports the Teaching and Learning Center at Loma Linda University Health. You will work with peers to help them master course content and build academic confidence. The role focuses on providing tutoring and holistic coaching to foster independent learning.
What you'll do#
- Provide tutoring in writing and specific subjects including algebra, anatomy, physiology, and statistics.
- Offer academic coaching to help students develop effective study strategies.
- Strengthen student communication and writing skills.
- Create a supportive and welcoming environment for all students.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the department.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at Loma Linda University.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong performance in the subject areas you intend to tutor.
- Completion of at least one quarter or semester of coursework with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to use standard office software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple assignments.

- This is a paid, full-time position with rolling terms.
