About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and customer service. The program focuses on real-world application of business skills to help you prepare for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Develop skills in team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and daily operational standards.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with other interns and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to talk, hear, and move around to perform daily duties.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
