About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel center operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn how to run store, fuel, food, and truck care departments. The program focuses on building your business skills and preparing you for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on projects with other interns and company leaders.
- Provide customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
