About the role#
Maher Duessel is hiring for a Summer 2027 Audit Intern in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is a paid, full-time position that offers exposure to various areas of audit work. You will work at the firm office or directly at client premises.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed testing of transactions, including cash receipts, disbursements, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and schedules for clients.
- Work varying hours, which includes overtime as determined by your engagement team leader.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore or Junior standing in an undergraduate or graduate accounting program.
- Coursework that satisfies requirements for CPA licensure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedication to teamwork and professional integrity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Reliable transportation, as client work usually requires the use of a personal car.
