About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience applying data science and machine learning techniques to solve business problems. You will work within an enterprise environment, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of data science and emerging AI solutions. You will be paired with experienced practitioners who provide mentorship and guidance throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Explore, prepare, and validate data to ensure quality and consistency.
- Build and evaluate machine learning models using various techniques.
- Support feature engineering, model development, and performance optimization.
- Prototype generative AI solutions with a focus on safety and effectiveness.
- Develop reproducible code and workflows for data processing and modeling.
- Communicate insights through visualizations, reports, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, R, or Java.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools like scikit-learn or PyTorch.
- Experience working with SQL or other data querying languages.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1st to August 12th).
- Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
