About the role#
This co-op position sits within the Strategy group of the Global Hedging, Variable and Indexed-Linked Products team at Manulife. You will work alongside professionals to manage financial risks and support hedging programs. The Strategy group identifies risk exposures and designs strategies to mitigate market risks, operating at the intersection of front and middle office functions. This is a full-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Produce aggregate exposure reports to support internal hedging programs.
- Classify individual securities within the internal fund mapping application.
- Keep security classification data current by reflecting market impacts and corporate actions.
- Generate ad-hoc risk exposure reports for mutual funds and exchange traded funds.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in business, mathematics, or actuarial science.
- Interest in financial modelling.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
