About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join our technology team to build applications that support our business and customers. You will work with modern development tools and frameworks to contribute to the full software development lifecycle. This paid, full-time internship provides hands-on experience and guidance from technical leaders.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to a team of engineers focused on building scalable, reliable applications.
- Support application development, testing, and debugging efforts.
- Assist in feature development and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to build user-focused solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and ongoing application maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to software frameworks, libraries, or development tools is helpful.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with APIs or application architecture.
Location & details#
- Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (April 29 to August 19, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the office Tuesday through Thursday and have the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- This position is paid and full-time.
