About the role#
As an Assistant Project Coordinator, you will support project managers and superintendents on civil construction projects. You will help maintain contract documentation, support estimating, and assist with preparing budgets and schedules. You will gain exposure to various contract types, including design build, plan and spec, and construction management. The goal of this role is to help the team ensure work meets contract requirements, maintains high quality, and stays safe.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain purchase order, shop drawing, submittal, and plan logs.
- Learn how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations.
- Assist with or clarify the scope of work for sub-trades and suppliers.
- Ensure a continuous focus on site safety according to regulatory requirements and company policy.
- Track inventory to ensure supplies arrive on schedule.
- Attend site meetings and assist with project deficiencies.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student in a related program like Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
- Alternatively, you are a 2026 graduate from a related program of study.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel is an asset.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Pickering, Ontario, at the Duffin Creek project site.
- The position is on-site and requires a vehicle as the location is not accessible by public transit.
- The term starts in September 2026 for a duration of 8 or 12 months.
