About the role#
Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a construction intern for the fall 2026 term. You will work directly on a major project site in Contrecoeur, Quebec. This role provides an opportunity to develop technical skills while participating in the daily activities of a large-scale construction site.
What you'll do#
- Support the construction team with site coordination and activity tracking.
- Monitor work progress and assist in the preparation of project reports.
- Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and various project stakeholders.
- Verify plans, drawings, and other technical documents.
- Track project quantities, schedules, and documentation.
- Attend coordination meetings as required.
- Support the team in meeting quality, health, and safety requirements.
- Perform other related tasks to support the project team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
- A strong interest in construction projects and site-based work.
- Organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in French.
- Knowledge of English is an asset.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site in Contrecoeur, Quebec.
- Physical presence on the job site is required five days per week.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
