    About the role#

    Marvin is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join the team at the Marvin Composites plant in Fargo. This role offers hands-on exposure to mechanical design, project management, and fabrication. You will work alongside mechanical engineers on projects from start to finish, including design, fabrication, and installation. This is a paid position intended for a candidate who can work year-round, balancing the role with an academic schedule.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, implement, and support installation upgrades for custom-engineered production equipment throughout the facility.
    • Use Creo 3D CAD software for designing, printmaking, 3D printing, and creating sheet metal fabrication files.
    • Collaborate with automation and controls teams to implement projects involving mechanical components.
    • Upgrade machine guarding and safety control systems.
    • Manage hands-on projects involving design installation, fabrication, welding, drilling, and basic machining.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an Engineering degree program, specifically Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Strong mechanical proficiency and hands-on skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team and solve problems effectively.

    • Location: Fargo, North Dakota.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Schedule: Full-time during the summer and part-time with a flexible schedule during the school year.
