    About the role#

    This internship supports the core manufacturing fundamentals of safety, quality, and productivity. You will work at our production facility in Roanoke, Virginia, to assist with quality process development and improvement projects. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality Management System, including ISO and WDMA Hallmark compliance.
    • Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for production processes.
    • Collect and monitor quality data and performance metrics to identify defect trends.
    • Lead and participate in problem-solving activities to drive corrective and preventative actions.
    • Perform internal quality audits and report results to key stakeholders.
    • Assist with the integration of quality checks into production processes and train associates on specifications.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
    • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Roanoke, Virginia.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
    • Pay: $21.50 per hour.
