About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026 located in Mankato, Minnesota. You will work on-site to assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients. This role involves performing pharmacy technician duties and supporting the team with daily medication management.
What you'll do#
- Gather, label, and distribute medications with accuracy and efficiency.
- Package, prepare, and compound medications, including hazardous substances.
- Manage and distribute controlled substances while following regulatory requirements and department policies.
- Assist with drug diversion surveillance and help maintain accurate medication inventories.
- Train new pharmacy staff members.
- Communicate through established systems and provide customer service to patient care areas.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in good standing, having completed at least the first P1 semester of an accredited U.S. Doctor of Pharmacy program.
- Alternatively, certification as a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate through the FPGEC.
- Pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
- You must obtain and maintain any required state pharmacist intern registration or certification throughout your employment.
- Foreign Pharmacy Graduates must hold and maintain a valid FPGEC Certificate.
