About the role#
The Corporate Communications intern supports the Internal Communications Team by implementing communication plans and managing various internal channels. You will help create content for employees and learners while gaining experience in channel management, best practices, and project execution. This role involves working with partners across the Office of Communications and other departments.
What you'll do#
- Oversee the main mass email tool for internal use, providing content review and user support.
- Review, edit, and publish content for the MCW intranet.
- Lead the design and editing of institutional newsletters, including the monthly In Good Health Newsletter.
- Assist the team in executing communication plans for annual events and initiatives.
- Generate analytics reports for primary internal communication channels.
What you'll need#
- You must be an upperclassman in a bachelor’s program or a student in a graduate program.
- Preferred fields of study include Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Public Health, or Psychology.
- Experience writing business communications for classwork or previous internships is preferred.
- Familiarity with content management systems is helpful but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite.
