About the role#
This is an 11-week, full-time internship program designed to provide hands-on experience within our supply chain and quality departments. You will work on projects that impact our business while gaining a broad perspective on food safety from procurement to manufacturing. You will interact with other interns and senior leaders throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Deliver solutions to real projects that impact our business operations.
- Gain exposure to procurement and merchandising strategies.
- Support product development and participate in manufacturing quality assurance.
- Measure quality standards for our own brand vendors.
- Ensure facility and product compliance with government standards.
- Gain experience in customer service and store operations.
- Attend executive speaker series, networking events, and community activities.
- Participate in the delivery of final presentations to senior executives.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Nutrition, Culinary Science, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A strong drive for results and a focus on the bottom line.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with team members and leadership.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical problem-solving skills to interpret data and look beyond the obvious.
- A dedicated focus on meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.
