About the role#
This 11-week internship program is designed for students interested in retail store leadership. You will build a foundation of retail knowledge through hands-on experience and professional development. The program includes an executive speaker series, networking events, and training sessions. You will work on projects that impact the business and present your findings to senior executives.
What you'll do#
During the first half of the program, you will focus on learning retail operations and leadership competencies. In the second half, you will step into the role of an Intern Team Leader. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and supervising day-to-day operations for team members.
- Mentoring and coaching staff, including new hires during their onboarding.
- Implementing strategies to drive store sales and improve customer service.
- Maintaining store appearance and product presentation standards.
- Supporting your department with sales goals, shrink reduction, and P&L management.
- Communicating with customers and team members to ensure efficient service.
- Promoting a safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- A desire to pursue a career in store leadership.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Past leadership experience in work or extracurricular activities.
- Strong relationship skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- A drive for results and the ability to make informed decisions based on data.
- Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.
