About the role#
This 11-week internship program builds a foundation of retail knowledge and exposes participants to store leadership opportunities. You will spend the first half of the program learning leadership competencies and retail operations. During the second half, you will serve as an Intern Team Leader, taking responsibility for business results, team engagement, and the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day operations.
- Spend the majority of your time on the floor communicating with customers and staff.
- Support your department in hitting sales goals, managing the P&L, and controlling shrink.
- Mentor and coach team members, including onboarding and training new hires.
- Implement strategies to improve service and drive store sales.
- Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and company standards.
- Model fast and friendly customer service.
- Promote a safe work environment and a positive company image.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration.
- A passion for retail and a desire to pursue a career in store leadership.
- Strong leadership potential, demonstrated through past work or extracurricular activities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Skills in decision quality, effective communication, and relationship building.
- An action-oriented mindset with a focus on results and customers.
- Prior retail experience is preferred.
