About the role#
Mid-Continent Group is hiring a Claims Intern for the summer of 2027. This 10-week program provides a look into the insurance industry and how the Claims department operates within the larger organization. You will gain experience through hands-on work and professional development activities.
What you'll do#
- Handle claims by performing initial coverage analysis, first contact, investigation, and technical writing.
- Collaborate with the Claims Operations team to request medical canvases and manage the litigation database.
- Learn to use various claims systems, software, and databases.
- Complete reading assignments, self-study courses, case studies, and projects to build insurance knowledge.
- Attend seminars, workshops, and lunch-and-learn sessions.
- Participate in networking activities with fellow interns, employees, and company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0, with a 3.5 preferred.
- Students graduating between May 2028 and 2029 are preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, planning, and organizing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through work, campus involvement, or extracurricular activities.
- A self-motivated approach to your work.

- This internship is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- The role follows a hybrid work schedule.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
