About the role#
The Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream is hiring a paid intern to join our team in Washington, DC. You will report to the President and work across the department to support our staff and leadership. This position offers a view into our research, events, and programmatic initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and provide general operational support.
- Update information in databases and contact lists.
- Assist team members with meeting preparation and follow up tasks.
- Manage administrative duties including filing, scanning, and organizing records.
- Help with event logistics, registration, materials, and guest check-in.
- Support our ongoing development, marketing, and educational efforts.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a bachelor's degree.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at once.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with an attitude that no job is too small.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States, as we do not provide visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based in Washington, DC.
- We operate on a hybrid schedule, with in-person attendance required Tuesday through Thursday.
- You may occasionally travel to other venues or offices to assist with events, which may require working outside of standard business hours.
