About the role#
The Future Talent Program offers summer internships within our Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences department. You will join our Research and Development division to apply scientific methodologies to the discovery, development, and manufacturing of medical drugs and vaccines. This is a paid, full-time internship for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
You will work alongside an experienced pharmaceutical industry statistician on one or more projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Performing statistical analysis of data.
- Conducting statistical research related to basic drug research.
- Supporting clinical pharmacology, drug development, and vaccine development.
- Assisting with biomarker development, pharmacogenomics, AI/ML, and health technology assessment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MS or PhD program in Statistics or Biostatistics.
- Completion of at least two semesters of graduate work by May 2027.
- Availability to work full-time for 12 weeks starting in May or June 2027.
- Proficiency in SAS, S-Plus, or R.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
