About the role#
This Co-op position within the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group supports the discovery and development of antibody-drug conjugates and peptide-drug conjugates. You will work alongside scientists to investigate drug conjugate stability, biotransformation, and catabolism. This program lasts up to 6 months and provides hands-on experience in bioanalysis, high-resolution mass spectrometry, and scientific data interpretation.
What you'll do#
- Perform in vitro assays to investigate biotransformation and catabolism of drug conjugates.
- Analyze LC-HRMS data to identify and characterize drug conjugate catabolites.
- Build automated tools for data processing, reporting, and visualization.
- Prepare technical summaries and present project findings.
- Share project outcomes at the end-of-summer intern and co-op symposium.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with mass spectrometry data processing tools, cell culture, and PK or ADME concepts is preferred.
- Experience with Python or R is a plus.
