About the role#
We offer a program to help you become a professional semi-driver. You receive training while working full-time. This role includes working as a forklift operator during your training period. You will work with a professional trainer on a one-on-one basis.
What you'll do#
- Undergo training to become a professional semi-driver.
- Earn full-time wages as a forklift operator while training.
- Receive one-on-one instruction from a professional trainer.
- Operate a well-maintained truck.
- Work a full-time schedule with no weekend work.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 21 years old (strongly preferred).
- You can obtain a CDL A instructional permit within your first 30 days of employment.
- You pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and lifting assessment.
- You are willing to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements after you receive your CDL.
- You have a satisfactory driving and work record.
- This role is open to students in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, and Criminal Justice.
