    About the role#

    The National Cherry Blossom Festival is looking for two Graphic Design Interns to support the marketing and communications team. You will work on branding and visual assets for the 2027 Festival. This role is unpaid, though college credit may be available and a monthly stipend is provided for commuting costs.

    What you'll do#

    • Create visual assets like advertisements, event signage, and digital invitations.
    • Assist with concept creation for campaigns using the Festival branding.
    • Build PowerPoint presentations for special initiatives and events.
    • Keep the Festival photo gallery organized and updated.
    • Update project tracking boards on Monday.com.
    • Assist with onsite event roles as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
    • Studies in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • A portfolio that shows your work in layout, typography, brand design, and current trends.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Location: Washington, DC.
    • Terms: Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
    • Modality: Primarily on-site with some remote flexibility.
