About the role#
The National FFA Organization is hiring a Video Editor Intern for the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo. This role offers the chance to produce content for a large audience, including the organization's members and followers. You will work in a professional newsroom environment and receive coaching from experienced editors. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Edit newsroom stories for the FFA Live! streaming broadcast, the website, and social media channels.
- Collaborate with newsroom journalists to create and produce content.
- Arrive in Indianapolis on Monday, Oct. 19, and work a minimum 10-hour shift daily from Tuesday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 24.
- Conduct interviews and create content, which requires walking, standing, and carrying equipment for extended periods.
- Build a professional portfolio with work distributed to an audience of over a million people.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in media and production, agricultural communications, telecommunications, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience shooting video on DSLR cameras.
- Physical ability to navigate the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium to conduct interviews.
- Familiarity with the Panasonic GH6/7 is a bonus.
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry or National FFA is helpful but not required.
