About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship offers exposure to the breadth of Treasury functions at National Life Group. You will gain practical knowledge by completing daily processes, testing procedures, and assisting with cash management. This is a full-time, paid position that requires an on-site presence.
What you'll do#
- Process incoming cash equivalents.
- Complete daily deposits by reconciling bank statements and uploading them into the ledger.
- Collaborate with the Treasury team to validate documented processes and provide updates.
- Support ongoing Treasury initiatives across different business areas.
- Update Treasury reporting.
- Shadow the Cash Manager to learn cash management processes.
- Assist the Director of Treasury with the Rating Agency process.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Good financial and business acumen.
- Coursework in Finance or Business Administration is a plus.
- A high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- The ability to handle competing demands.
- An inquisitive mindset and strong oral and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- Locations: Addison, Texas and Montpelier, Vermont.
- Work modality: On-site, with an expectation to be in the office four days per week (Monday through Thursday).
- Term: Summer 2027.
