    About the role#

    Atlantic Equine Services offers a 12-month Equine Sports Medicine Fellowship. This program provides intensive, hands-on experience in lameness diagnosis and treatment. The fellowship is split into two 6-month blocks: one in Dover, New Hampshire, and one in Wellington, Florida. This role is designed for individuals preparing for private practice in sports medicine or those seeking advanced residency training.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform lameness examinations and pre-purchase exams.
    • Provide primary care for horses at shows.
    • Consult with referring veterinarians on patient cases.
    • Participate in Journal Clubs with the clinical team.
    • Lead or assist in prospective and retrospective clinical research projects with the goal of publication.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of a one-year general equine internship.
    • Eligibility for veterinary licenses in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida.
    • A focus on pursuing sports medicine private practice or advanced residency training.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid position.
    • The role is on-site and requires out-of-state travel. Housing is provided.
    • The schedule follows a rolling term, operating in the northeast from April through November and in Wellington, Florida, from November through March.
